Access to Healthcare

Did you know that about 1 in 10 people in the United States don’t have health insurance? According to a 2021 Kaiser report, 10.1% of Tennessee residents don’t have health insurance, and America’s Health Rankings 2022 report from United Healthcare ranks Tennessee 44th among states for health outcomes. This means many people in the United States and in the state of Tennessee don’t get the healthcare services they need.

While we can’t break down all that is needed to ensure that everyone has access to their fundamental right to good health, we can provide resource information for individuals who may need assistance in finding healthcare.

Pathfinder has compiled a list of free healthcare clinics and sliding-scale payment health clinics within the state of Tennessee.  It is our hope that by providing this list to the community, we are fostering good health practices.

The right to health for all people means that everyone should have access to the health services they need, when and where they need them, without suffering financial hardship. No one should get sick and die just because they are poor, or because they cannot access the health services they need. – World Health Organization (WHO)
