Tennessee Caregiver Coalition is Hiring!

Looking for a meaningful career that supports caregivers and families across Tennessee? The Tennessee Caregiver Coalition has two exciting opportunities:

1. Training and Technology Coordinator
Help manage online training for respite care providers and oversee the Tennessee Respite Care Registry. This role includes recruiting and supporting volunteers and providers, offering technical assistance, and working with partners statewide. Some travel and evening work are required. After an initial three-month in-office period, the position becomes hybrid with two office days per week.

2. Group Respite Volunteer Coordinator
Lead the Group Respite Volunteer Program, which organizes safe, engaging events for children with disabilities, their siblings, and older adults. Responsibilities include planning events, training volunteers, and building community partnerships. This role requires occasional travel, two Saturdays per month, and some evening work. After three months in-office, the position becomes hybrid with two office days per week.

Looking for a meaningful part-time role in behavioral health?

Siloam Health in Nashville is hiring a Behavioral Health Consultant to join its mission-driven team. This position offers $26–$31 per hour, a consistent 20-hour weekly schedule, and no weekend work.

As part of the clinical care team, you’ll provide brief assessments, counseling, and referrals to support patients’ mental and behavioral health needs. You’ll also collaborate with clinicians and community health staff to address complex concerns and help develop behavioral health protocols.

Position Details:

  • Status: Part-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt
  • Location: Nashville and/or Antioch, TN
  • Reports to: Director of Mission Integration

Mentorship Opportunities

A new program called Employment Mentorship Pathways is being piloted across Tennessee! Developed by Vanderbilt University’s research team, this program connects employed adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to adults with IDD who are seeking jobs. Through peer mentorship, participants can share experiences, learn job-seeking strategies, and build confidence.

Parents and family members are also included through parent-to-parent mentorship, creating a supportive network for families navigating employment. The program includes monthly Zoom meetings for six months, matching participants based on interests, location, and support needs.

Looking for guidance and encouragement on your MAPs journey?
Peer Mentoring Services are now available for MAPs program participants! This service connects individuals with trained mentors who have lived experience with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Peer mentors provide:
✔ Support and encouragement
✔ Guidance on program goals and milestones
✔ Tips for building independence at home, work, and in the community

Who can participate?

  • Mentees: Anyone enrolled in the MAPs program who would benefit from peer-to-peer support
  • Mentors: Individuals with lived ID/DD experience who enjoy helping others succeed (paid positions with training provided)

How it works:

  • Complete the Peer Mentoring Service Referral Form
  • Get matched based on interests and goals
  • Meet regularly—virtually or in person—with ongoing support from supervisors
