When: 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm CT, the 1ˢᵗ, 2ⁿᵈ & 4ᵗʰ Thursday of each month
Where: Online via Zoom, smartphone, or without video via regular phone (please call 615-891-4724

Who: Anyone 18 years or older with a diagnosis, or self-determination of mental health issue such
as major depression, anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder,
PTSD, ADHD, OCD, BPD, cooccurring substance use disorders, and other issues that
keep an individual from having effective relationships at home, work or school.
How: Sign up for each session individually at namidavidson.org/calendar. Click on the date of the
session you wish to attend, complete the brief registration form and click “submit”. A link for the
meeting will be emailed to you.
Additional Info: Experienced group facilitators set the tone for meetings that are informed by
guidelines of respect, confidentiality, and non-judgement. Group members check in with each other
each meeting, and guide the conversations. News of the day, tips for wellbeing, favorite places to
walk, or good eats, are all welcome conversation topics. Support is available if requested. The
meeting is free to attend, but registration is required please contact Program Coordinator Don
Loiacano at outreach@namidavidson.org with questions.
Friends Supporting Friends was started in March 2021 with a grant from NAMI national to help with
pandemic social isolation. It is currently supported through a grant by United Healthcare.
NAMI Davidson Co. is the capitol city affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. The
agency is an independently operated and funded 501.c.3 nonprofit registered with the State of
Tennessee. It is funded by a grant by TDMHSAS and other sources, as well as individual
contributions. You can support NAMI Davidson Co. through a donation on its website, or by a
donation sent to its office at 392 Harding Place, Ste 203, Nashville, TN 37211.

- SPRINGFIELD BAPTIST CHURCH – Hosts 2021 OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD PROGRAM/THANKSGIVING MEAL in Robertson County. Contact: (615)-384-3581
- FEEDING NASHVILLE – Provides daily family and individual meals to support the programming of a variety of nonprofits and ministries in the Metro Nashville area. Contact: feedingnashville.com
- FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF CLINTON – Provides food baskets to individuals or families. Contact: (865)-457-2593
- GOODLETTSVILLE HELP CENTER– Has a food pantry and provides food boxes to individuals in need. Families are able to visit the food pantry nine times a year. - GOOD SAMARITAN CENTER LOUNDON COUNTY– Provides Thanksgiving baskets for those who reside in Loundon County. Contact: (865)- 986-1777
- HOPE FOR THE INNER CITY – Provides a turkey for Thanksgiving Meal for residents in Chatanooga, Hamilton County. They also have a food pantry for these residents. Contact: (423)-698-3178

- NOURISH FOOD BANK: SMYRNA– Provides meals and Thanksgiving Baskets to individuals in need during the holiday season. You must obtain a ticket from the food bank prior to the giveaway dates. On giveaway days, ticket holders receive the meal after normal serving hours. Please note that you will need proof of residence. These are the counties that are served:
