Mason & Associates Law Firm is holding its 4th Annual Elder Care Expo of 2022.  The event will be held Thursday, May 19, 2022, at the Gaylord Opryland Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn., in Presidential Ballroom D.

Aging adults, caregivers, and families will meet exhibitors while learning about the many resources available for seniors. Attorney Jake Mason, a Board-Certified Elder Law Specialist & Board-Certified Estate Planning Law Specialist, and licensed to practice in Kentucky and Tennessee, will be speaking on issues that arise during counseling and representation of older persons, along with the importance of proper planning. His wife, Dr. Megan Mason, MD, a Board-Certified Neurologist in Gallatin, Tennessee specializing in Neurology (Brain & Spinal Cord Disease), will speak on Aging and Dementia.

This event is free and open to the public and complimentary lunch will be served to all guests.  Parking will also be also paid for for by the host.

MWCHC flyer - 13th Annual Senior Expo 2022 May 20, 2022

In celebration of Older Americans Month, Matthew Walker Comprehensive Health Center (MWCHC) is having their 13th Annual Senior Expo 2022, Friday, May 20, 2022 from 12 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. CT.

The event will be heald in MWCHC’s Parking Area (closest to the building) at 1035 14th Avenue North
Nashville, Tennessee 37208 . Enjoy giveaways, vendors, blood pressure screenings, resource booths, and door prizes at this event.  This event is free and open to the public.

Columbia Parks & Recreation hosts weekly SAIL (Stay Active & Independent for Life) classes at the Armory Fitness Center, 503 Carter Street, Columbia, Tenn. There are two class groups to choose from:

  • Mondays & Wednesdays 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. CT
  • Tuesday & Thursdays 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. CT

The classes focus on strength, blance and fitness for aging adults.

Memorial Park Community Center hosts Senior Basketball every Monday from 10 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. ET.  The dates for May during Older Americans Month are: May 09, 2022,  May 16, 2022, May 23, 2022, and May 30, 2022.

Remember to wear comfortable clothing and shoes and join in on the fun.
