MAC POWER Youth Summer Employment — Applications Now Open!

The MAC POWER Youth application portal is officially open, and youth ages 14–24 can now apply for paid summer employment across Nashville. This program gives young people the chance to explore careers, gain hands‑on work experience, and build skills that can support future job opportunities.

Participants are matched with companies and organizations for paid career exploration from June 1 – July 17, 2026, and the program kicks things off with a youth summit filled with speakers, activities, and workshops. If you know a young person looking for meaningful summer work, encourage them to apply early.

Looking for guidance and encouragement on your MAPs journey?
Peer Mentoring Services are now available for MAPs program participants! This service connects individuals with trained mentors who have lived experience with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Peer mentors provide:
✔ Support and encouragement
✔ Guidance on program goals and milestones
✔ Tips for building independence at home, work, and in the community

Who can participate?

  • Mentees: Anyone enrolled in the MAPs program who would benefit from peer-to-peer support
  • Mentors: Individuals with lived ID/DD experience who enjoy helping others succeed (paid positions with training provided)

How it works:

  • Complete the Peer Mentoring Service Referral Form
  • Get matched based on interests and goals
  • Meet regularly—virtually or in person—with ongoing support from supervisors

Volunteer Opportunities
