Autism doesn’t stop me. It challenges me. Story by Rainbow Mosho, Artist
And every time I rise to meet that challenge, I grow stronger. You know me, Rainbow Mosho, and I am a teen artist, author, and unstoppable creative force. I have written five books (with my sixth, The Rogue Kingdom, on the way), exhibited my art worldwide, even on the moon with Moonmars Museum, and curated for the Women in Tech Museum. I refuse to let anything or anyone define my limits.
Knocking on countless doors has been my way of creating opportunities. Some open, some don’t, but each one builds my courage and self-esteem. I have been honored to speak at Awedacity, UNGA79, and Give4Kidz Conference.
I’ve been selected as a Top 5 scriptwriter by the VSA Kennedy Center and represented the Flower Girls NFT Project at NFTLA.
A grant from NFTY Dreams helped me turn my art into a force for good, supporting native girls in Paraguay.
Being part of spaces like the Frist Art Museum Teen Arts Action Group and One Love Art DAO shows me that my voice matters. Whether I’m painting, writing, or speaking, I stand by my mantra: My art, my rules. Every piece I create is an act of defiance against the doubts, the struggles, and the barriers others assume I can’t break.
Autism may make things harder, but it also gives me a unique perspective. I embrace that. I use it. And I keep pushing forward. Because persistence isn’t just about proving people wrong, it’s about proving to myself that I am limitless.
Autism Acceptance is an everyday matter… Let others know!
