March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month (DDAM) and all month long the National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities (NACDD), which includes the Tennessee Council on Developmental Disabilities (TN Council on DD), is encouraging supporters to spread information that highlights the many ways in which people with and without disabilities come together to form strong, diverse communities.
This year the theme for DDAM2022 is “Worlds Imagined.”

Disabililty Advocacy Day is March 11, 2022! Last year, the Tennessee General Assembly filed an official proclamation in honor of March 11th as Disability Advocacy Day and over 20 landmarks across West, Middle and East Tennessee lit up “Coalition Blue” in support, solidarity and recognition of successful advocacy by the disability community of Tennessee. This year we can all play a part by wearing blue clothing, replacing our social media profile pics or Zoom virtual backgrounds, or any creative way you want to GO BLUE and show our support.
