April is Autism Acceptance Month and with all that there is to celebrate this month with the extraordinary efforts and supports that are being implemented daily within the Autism community, we could not let this month go by without shining the light on an organization or program that goes above and beyond in their efforts to support the disability community.
TRIAD (Treatment and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders), our very own sister organization, under the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center, is an institution whose goal is to improve assessment and treatment services for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families while advancing knowledge and training. TRIAD programs address community needs for cutting-edge information, high-quality support, training, and innovative treatments for children with Autistim Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Additionally, TRIAD partners with Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s (VUMC) Department of Pediatrics, and the Vanderbilt Consortium LEND (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities) to provide additional support to families.
TRIAD offers a vast amount of services and an overview of these services can be found in this informational guide provided by TRIAD.
Information on TRIAD programs can also be found at triad.vumc.org.
