Our Special Village: A Place for Parents to Find Support

Parenting a child with a disability or special healthcare need can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate the journey alone. Our Special Village is a free weekly support group designed for parents and caregivers to connect, share experiences, and encourage one another in a welcoming environment.

Hosted by We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym – Murfreesboro, the group is facilitated by Cari Parr, M.Ed., Founder and Educational Consultant of Pick Up the Pieces TN, and provides a space where families can ask questions, exchange resources, and build meaningful relationships with others who understand the journey.

Meetings are held every Wednesday from 5:00–6:00 p.m. at 820 N. Thompson Lane, Murfreesboro, TN. While parents meet, discounted supervised open-play rates are available at the gym for children who attend with their families.

Whether you’re looking for practical advice, encouragement, or simply a community that understands, Our Special Village is here to remind you that no parent should walk this journey without a village of support.
