Dear Friends of Pathfinder,

Happy New Year! Although the afterglow of the holidays is quickly fading as we embark on a busy new year, I hope the season was filled with all the things that you enjoy most.

A new year is often considered a reset – a time when we review what has happened and look ahead by making plans. In reflecting on 2023, I am proud of what we accomplished at Pathfinder, which included serving more than 1,700 individuals through our helpline, adding 58 new provider listings to our website and expanding it to include Tennessee Tech Connect, providing over 40 informative trainings, attending numerous resource fairs, and much more to connect Tennesseans with disabilities to the resources they need.

Considering some of the new developments we have planned for 2024, I am excited for Pathfinder to continue building upon our successes. We aren’t quite ready to share all the details with you in this newsletter, but I am happy to announce a new training opportunity. Our webinar series will spotlight the intersectionality of mental health and disabilities. Details about the first webinar on February 1st, are included in this newsletter, so we hope you will plan to attend. Other developments will include ongoing changes and additions made to the website, especially a new feature coming soon.

In reflecting on the past and future of Pathfinder, I would be remiss not to acknowledge the support we receive from numerous individuals and organizations throughout the state. We are most grateful for the financial support from our funding partners as well as those who refer individuals to Pathfinder, invite us to present at meetings, and help promote the work that we do. Thank you for helping us fulfill our mission and continue to grow.

From all of us at Pathfinder, we wish you good health and peace in the new year!

All the best,

Megan Hart, M.Ed.
