The Family Voices of Tennessee Team is now hiring for two positions: a PEARS Parent Guide in West TN and a PEARS Parent Guide in East TN. Our PEARS Program provides individualized support, information, and resources to families raising children who are D/deaf, Hard of Hearing, or have hearing issues by connecting them with experienced Parent Guides who “get it.” We work closely with D/deaf or Hard of Hearing volunteers to introduce interested families to the vibrant D/deaf culture and community.

There are three total PEARS Parent Guides. Each represents one grand region of the state (West, Middle, East). They are currently hiring for East and West TN.

This position is:
Part time, hourly, 15 hours per week at $18.20 per hour
Remote/work-from-home, with travel to outreach to the community and for in-person meetings, as needed. Mileage is reimbursed at the state rate for approved travel for work purposes.

Qualified candidates must be the parent or family member of an individual who identifies as D/deaf, Hard of Hearing or has hearing issues.

The Tennessee Caregiver Coalition is seeking an energetic individual to assist in our fundraising efforts. The Development Associate will work with the Executive Director and TCC team to plan and implement fundraising initiatives that increase financial support for our programs. They will oversee the planning and coordination of fundraising events, secure individual and corporate donors, and cultivate relationships with supporters. The Development Associate will play a vital role in ensuring the financial sustainability of our organization, enabling us to continue providing essential services to caregivers.
This is a part-time position (10 hours per week), with occasional evenings and weekends, due to events or donor meetings. This is a hybrid position which entails working in our Nashville office and from home.

FTAAAD is seeking a part-time Information & Referral Assistant!
The position is for 28 hours a week. Volunteer Opportunities

 

The South Central Tennessee Area Agency on Aging & Disability could not administer all its programs without the kind and generous help of a very dedicated staff of volunteers. We are always in need of volunteers to help deliver services to the aging and disabled in our 13 county service area.

We have many opportunities available, including:

  • Manning telephones
  • Ombudsman volunteer
  • Visiting the elderly in their homes
  • Helping resolve complaints consumers may have
  • Educating seniors about Medicare and their choices
  • Volunteers spend only the amount of time they wish each month in helping others.
